Furthermore, schools across the nation have experienced success from two programs developed by Boys Town: the Boys Town Model and the Boys Town Education Model. Over the years, schools have used the Boys Town Model of discipline for behavior modification in the classroom. Based on the discipline model, the Boys Town Education Model provides a school-based intervention strategy that focuses on managing behavior, building relationships and teaching social skills. It emphasizes preventive and proactive practices rather than reactive responses to deal with student behavior.
